Group therapy can help create authentic connections, reduce isolation and heal social wounds.

Hurtful social situations can wound us. Rejection and abuse can give the message that there's something wrong with us. Attempts to avoid rejection through isolation, or to court acceptance by acting fake can cause loneliness and emptiness.

On the other hand, a group of accepting, understanding individuals can provide a corrective experience, so we can accept our imperfections, express our true selves and connect.

Jen draws on her background as an actress and an advanced student of psychodrama at the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute to enliven her groups.

We offer general personal growth groups and specific groups for the following populations and issues:

Shout Out!  is a Self Expression group for teenagers. Participants use improvisational games, story telling, "show 'n' tell" and creative arts activities, to express themselves, solve problems and have fun. 

Shout Out! for Parents of Teens helps parents generate ideas on how to handle their teens and how to handle the thoughts and emotions that can get you off track. We use lively role plays that target participants' specific situations instead of boring lectures.

Gender Variant: We periodically hold groups for Male-to-Female and Female-to-Male individuals.
