Private Practice Supervision Available
Beginning in October 2011, the New Jersey Professional Counselors Examiners Committee of the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners requires all Supervisors of Licensed Associate Counselors (LACs) to hold a Supervisor’s credential from the NBCC. See NJAC 13:34-13.1 and the NBCC Center for Credentialing and Education web site: http://www.cce-global.org/ACS.
I am have earned the Approved Clinical Supervisor and am currently accepting LACs.
I currently do not have a caseload to support a full-time LAC job. Therefore, this opportunity is ideal for people who already have an LAC job, but who really want to learn the business of running a private practice. Private Practice is well suited for creative individuals with independent spirits who prefer to avoid the politics and regimentation of institutions and want greater freedom to choose their clients and their methods. Most schools don't teach the business of running a private practice. I do.
